Individual Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy offers a dedicated space to understand yourself more deeply, process what has been holding you back, and create change that actually lasts. When trauma, attachment and relational patterns, or years of survival patterns have shifted your nervous system away from connection and toward protection, therapy helps you understand why, and gradually restore your capacity for safety, meaning, and authentic living.

This is not surface level work. This is the kind of therapy that helps you understand the roots of your patterns, not just manage their symptoms.

Sessions are available in 60 or 45 minute formats depending on your clinical needs and treatment goals.

The Initial Diagnostic Evaluation

Before we begin the work, we begin with understanding.

Your first session is a comprehensive, in depth evaluation focused on understanding the full context of your mental and emotional health. We explore your current concerns, symptom presentation, personal and family mental health history, trauma history, relational patterns, and overall functioning across key areas of your life.

We also explore early life experiences, attachment dynamics, stressors, coping strategies, and strengths, building a clear and accurate clinical picture of who you are and what you need. This process allows for thoughtful diagnosis when appropriate, collaborative treatment planning, and the selection of therapeutic approaches that genuinely fit your history and goals.

The Initial Diagnostic Evaluation is the foundation of everything that follows, ensuring that your care is personalized, clinically informed, and aligned with what will actually help you heal.

You May Be Coming to Therapy Because

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained. You may be navigating a major transition, feeling disconnected from yourself, or carrying more than you can manage alone. Many clients find themselves asking:

"Why am I anxious all the time or constantly on edge?" "Why can't I shut off my mind?" "Why do I feel numb, unmotivated, or unlike myself?" "Why do I keep repeating the same patterns in relationships?" "Why does food feel like my comfort, my battle, or both?" "Why do I look in the mirror and feel discomfort or shame?" "How do I move through this grief without falling apart?" "Why does life feel so overwhelming right now?"

You may also notice:

Panic, excessive worry, or racing thoughts Low mood, sadness, irritability, or emotional numbness Intrusive thoughts or compulsive behaviors Binge eating, purging, emotional eating, or losing control with food Body image distress or constant self criticism Sleep disruption or persistent exhaustion Difficulty adjusting after a major life change Burnout, occupational stress, or compassion fatigue Grief from loss, change, or trauma Work related trauma exposure, especially for first responders and law enforcement

If any of this feels familiar, you are not alone. You deserve support that meets your experience with clarity, compassion, and clinical depth.

What Therapy Looks Like With Me

Therapy here is collaborative, honest, and grounded in genuine care. My style is warm and direct. I help you understand why you feel the way you do and give you real tools to move through daily life with more steadiness and intention.

Reveal. Reclaim. Realign.

All of my individual therapy work moves through three phases. Not rigidly or in a straight line, because healing is never linear, but as a direction that guides our work together.

Reveal

We begin by slowing down and naming what is actually true. Together we explore the patterns, wounds, and protective strategies that may be keeping you stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed. We look at how your nervous system learned to shift from connection toward protection, and we do this without judgment, without shame, and without rushing past what matters.

Understanding the why behind your patterns is not just insight. It is the beginning of freedom.

Reclaim

From there, we work toward reconnecting with your body, your emotions, your sense of self, and your capacity for meaning. This is where healing deepens. Processing trauma, rebuilding nervous system safety, restoring self trust, and reconnecting with the parts of you that may have been silenced, overextended, or lost along the way.

You begin to experience connection as less threatening. Your body starts to believe that safety is possible.

Realign

As insight deepens and your nervous system gradually recalibrates, we create a more grounded and authentic way of living and relating. The goal is not to become someone new. The goal is to return to yourself, underneath the patterns, the pressure, and the survival strategies that once kept you safe, and build a life that feels more meaningful, connected, and true.

Whether you are working through anxiety, grief, burnout, relationship pain, trauma, or struggles with food and your body, therapy is a place to breathe, reconnect, and rebuild from a place of clarity and genuine strength.

Healing is not becoming someone new. It is returning to yourself.
